Can I OC or flash my 6800nu?

I just ordered a eVGA 6800nu for $280 shipped. Figured I would save the money over GT and have something now and not keep waiting. Anyway, is there much OCing that can be done? I searched and can't really find anything. Thanks.

I don't know why you can't find anything, many reviews have OCing these days, and nVnews has threads on it.

Anyway, just enable Coolbits in the registry and OC away. The drivers even have an "automatic OC" setting that does it for you.

Let me first say that I own the same card you will in a couple of days, and you'll love it. An eVGA 6800nu.

With that said, I am currently overclocking my card with very good results. I use the original Coolbits, but the Coolbits 2 link that Shadenfroh provided will work as well.

The default clocks on this card are 325 core and 700 memory. I am stable as hell right now at a 380 core and 810 memory. YMMV. After some rough (i.e. not stringent) benchmarking in 3DMark03, I found this overclock gave me around 200 to 300 extra marks over the default clocks. This may yield you an extra frame or two in your games, but nothing major.

Good luck.

While the 6800NUs don't seem to get tons of free performance from OCing, the performance is pretty kickass at stock speeds anyway.
