Can I move my copy of VMWare Fusion from one computer to another?

I initially installed on my dad's iMac so I could use Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer occaisionally.

I found that Flip4Mac now works for that function and I want to transfer that copy of VMWare Fusion to a different iMac.

Does VMWare Fusion allow that? Or do I have to call them to use that registration number on another computer?

I don't believe that you need to call them. Just uninstall the version on the other iMac and then install VMWare of the other (there isn't any activation). You can also just copy over the Home/Documents/Virtual Machines folder after you install Fusion on the other machine and it will look identical to how it did on the other machine. You'll have your install of XP/Vista, and all the programs installed on it.

I created a VM of XP Pro on one Mac with Fusion. If I transfer my copy of Fusion to another computer, will I be able to use the VM on the 2nd computer, or will the XP need to be reactivated?

You shouldn't need to reactivate as the virtual hardware that XP sees will not change.
