can I make web pages black and white for printing?

My laser printer does not shade colored text well. They usually are too faint. If I could just change the colors to black on the screen, they would print well. Is there any way to do that?

I don't know if there's a way to do this in your browser, but you can certainly choose "Properties" from the Print dialog and select Black and White from there. If you do this a lot, add a "new printer" which is just the old printer but with the Print Properties set to B&W.

I can't find such a setting. Why would there be one for a laser printer?

I understand your problem, and this is how I corrected it on my system with a Samsung laser Printer:
I go to print, preferences, graphics, and select "All text to black." Obviously all printer drivers are different, but hoepfully yours has a feature like the Samsung's do.
