Can I make it so if I hit middle mouse button it does alt + tab?

I would love to be able to change the way Windows handles the middle mouse button by making it so if I press it it reacts the same as if I pressed alt + tab... anyway to do this?

The goal is to quickly & stealthily alt tab out of a window without reaching for the keyboard... my hand is pretty much always on the mouse instead.

I have NOT tried it, but I think this only works with a 5-button mouse? I would like to know this myself now if there's any other software out there or any other process through which the mouse button configuration could be changed?

My sense is that you have to use a programmable mouse. Most are 5-button.
