COuld anyone estimate how many shirts I could sell at say $30 dollars, compared to $100-125 in stores? If I do this anyone know how to advertise? Please help me out, I need to kno if I should move forward in a small buis deal.

There's a huge TB "following" out there, but most of those people being your 50+ year olds who probably don't eBay too much...but that's just my first thought. I'm sure there are people looking for it...have you seen what the demand is like currently? At that big of a discount, I wouldn't be surprised if you sold most of your units to eBay resellers...but hey, as long as you make a buck, everybody's happy.

I'd say that your chances for success are good, assuming you have a good presentation and whatnot.

A guy I know has a store that sells clothing that he obtains by similar methods...

He explained to me that the reason he can buy so cheaply and sell so cheaply is this: The name brand contracts a company in China (or elsewhere) to produce 100,000 units of some certain clothing. The shop is all tooled up to complete that order. After they've completed the required number of units, a lot of the time they'll make a few thousand extras which they themselves sell in a sort of gray market... this gives them a little bit more profit for themselves. The big companies are aware of this, but as long as the manufacturers don't get too carried away, it's kinda the cost of doing business with them.

Ebay is probably going to be your best bet for reselling them, go do a search & see what some of the stuff is ending at. Then you can decide if there is any profit, and if there is, is it worth the work/trouble?

Well they go for near retail on ebay, so what I have decided so far is,
1) Online storfront (if it goes as planned,,,,,,,,,,provided by none other than rossman!)
2) Big ebay listings

I think it's going to be a waste of time and money but that's just me.

In order to get an eCommerce web site, you will need:
  • 1) A short easy to remember .com domain, I recommend NameCheap.com
  • 2) A quality web host, I recommend Idologic.com who has excellent servers, top notch support and near 100% uptime.
  • 3) An SSL certificate, I would recommend CompleteSSL.com
  • 4) A shopping cart, such as osCommerce or CubeCart. Both can be installed with 1 click of your mouse with Fantastico.
  • 5) A credit card processor. You can use Paypal, 2checkout.com or get a merchants account. The merchants account is THE BEST but costs $25-$35 per month in minimum monthly fees.

Best of luck!

I agree RossMAN, just start an ebay store for now and see what happens. A store front will cost a lot of money to get up and running.
