Even if they let you do it and you manage to sell them, you can only use 1 coupon per transaction so they won't be very useful.

I didn't know staples even did that. Are you sure there's not any limit on the number of coupons they'll give you? Also, do you need to prove that the cartridges were purchased from Staples before receiving the coupon?

Also, I'd say it's safe to assume that you won't make much profit off of a bunch of Staples coupons. The number of people looking for that will be super small. Are they paper coupons or do they just give you a huge discount card?

There are a lot of ways for this to get screwed up :p

You're going to buy thousands of used ink cartridges in order to get coupons to sell?

I've used multiple ink coupons before. I think the limit per purchase is 10.

I'd probably turn them in gradually...50-60 at a time, and then sell them in batches of 10 on ebay. turn in more when you get down to one batch. they're only good for three months from when you turn them in anyway.

there are companies that will give you $2-3 per cartride in order to recycle them.. only certain cartridges are candidates for this, but you get a check as opposed to coupons

I tried to use $3 off coupons all at once, and they denied it
I managed to use 2 at a time after talking with the clerk

If you have 10 $3 coupons, I'll totally buy 10 of them from you for like $10 :p

If it was as easy as taking them to Staples for $2-$3 each, don't you think that the eBay seller might have done that already?

Maybe they don't know about this thing?

Your time sure isn't worth much. Imagine how long it was take to trade in a few dozen cartridges at a time, plus gas to drive to different Staples, since they will probably start catching on rather quickly. Then you have to list them in lots that you are hoping sell for more than all of that plus ebay fees and paypal fees to make a real profit, which I bet will add up to a few dollars per hour spent.
