Can i lower the fan voltage on my Silent Boost?

I have just purchased a Silent Boost for my AMD Thoroughbred 2200+. And its AWESOME - it keeps my computer running at 35C idle with four fans circulating the airflow at 5 volts. Its supposed to be 21 db - but i think its a bit louder. So my question is if its possible to attach the Silent Boost fan to my Zalman Fan Mate "so i can regulate the voltage" without doing any harm to the fan.

Absolutely. There's no problem at all with using a fanmate inline with your heatsink fan. And if by some chance the fan on that Silent Boost (it's a Panaflo) supports rpm monitoring the fanmate will still allow you to monitor your rpms.
