Can i leave a package outside for UPS pickup?

Since UPS left my package in the rain the other day, Office Depot wants to pick up the old one and leave me a new one.

Problem is, i wont be home tommorow either.

Luckily, its supposed to be beautiful out.

Can i leave the old package outside w/ a note on it?
