okay, here's why I ask...

I won't get a car until next month, where my dad will finance me totally, but he said it will have to be next month.
but, I need a car badly this month, and I saw ads and commerical where cars can be leased with no money down and 129 bucks a month; that I could afford.
but could I just pay for one month and say I have no money and return the car?

does it worth the hassle?

I seriously doubt it. You have to sign a contract.

You might consider renting a vehicle. Some rental companies will rent their less desireable cars for a month at a rather large discount.

Well if you're under the age of 18 you may be able to do this (default on the loan) because being a minor you can't be held to a contract. If you're an "adult" than you've signed a legally binding contract that you'll be held to. Usually there are hefty early cancellation fees if they don't make you pay the full amount. Just rent a Geo Metro for a month if you really need a car, it ain't that expensive.

okokay... thanks Appopin,

but I am not 21 yet, I think most car rental places require a minimum age of 21.

Enterprise rental has a $9.99/day weekend special. When you lease a car you sign a contract and I'm sure the penalty for early return is a) already covered in the contract and b) financially unwise.

Sure you can lease a car for a month. But expect to pay about $2000-3000 in charges as well as a months payment!!

silly..

YOu will be able to but it will cost you.

Most company's charge huge fines for early termination of lease agreements. YOu might be looking at $2000-4000

You might however try saturns no questions asked 30 day money back guarantee.

By the time you make a deposit, pay the taxes license, etc. You could buy a good used car.

You cannot lease a car unless you have sterling credit and if you turn a car in early there is a very large penalty.

yeah, haven't you seen that Saturn commercial where the lady returns her car because she lost her job?

Just do the same thing. :)
