I tried to log into my hotmail email account recently and my password didn't work. I tried my password hints but can't figure out the answers...

Anyway, is there some way to just outright have Microsoft kill the account?

I'm guessing I just changed the password then forgot it, but if someone's stolen it, I would rather they not have access to emails anymore...

How long ago was your last log-in? Hotmail automatically kills your account if you don't log in for a specified amount of time, unless you are a premium member.

shens.

Two issues:

I move around enough that the zip could be any of half a dozen numbers, depending on when I last updated the password hints.

I'm sure it's the caps, or the word order that's killing me for the secret answer.

And of course they limit the number of times you can try in one day.

Would have been a few days before the password stopped working.

I think it takes about six months for it to expire...the email thief would have all my information writtend won by then :(
