Can I just walk into Comcast and pick up and HD cable box?

Don't want to have to wait for a technician to come out and install once. Can I just run in there and get one?
 
wtf? I got a new DVR box installed a few weeks ago, but when I asked the rep on the phone if I can go pick one up myself and "hook it up" to my system, she said that was not allowed. $31 fsckin dollars for someone to come to my house and plug in a couple of cables :|
