Can I install win7 again if I format current drive and install on another?

I just built a new pc. I bought a new hard drive, thats 7200rmp SATA 6gb/s. 1tb in size. Done a new install of win 7 on it. Windows index score gave me 7.8's on everything, but on my data transfer rate it only gave me a 5.9.
My questions are, if I take out this hard drive and put a new one in, can I still install windows 7 again, without needing another license? I'll format current drive later and use it for storage.
Also my old system ran a WD raptor 75g sata drive. Would this be faster than the newer drive? If not I may just stay with what I got, or buy a faster drive around black Friday.
Thanks

To get beyond a 5.9 your gonna have to get a SSD. Don't waste the time or money on another standard HDD if your just trying to boost your Windows Index Score.

What's your system specs? Seems like your skimped on the storage system and spent your money elsewhere 🙂

big size 7200rpm is mostly faster than 1st gen raptor, it has better sequential speed.
In your situation I would make image of your partition, and copy it to 64GB SSD. You probably can activate windows with different drive - activation formula (at least for XP) takes into consideration more than main hard drive. Too many activations = problem.
also never activate windows right away, you have 30 days grace period.
