I just wanna install win2k on a second machine and I was just wondering is i can install win2k directly from the CD. I got my partition and stuff just need a clean win2k installation and the 4 floppys are crap cuz they never work. I ready in the forum a while back that u can do that........ just dont remember how....something with the i386 folder (or whatever that folder is called). Can someone guide me in the right direction?

Many thx! :)

Yes you can and it saves time. The Win2000 CD is bootable so all you need to do is boot to your BIOS and change your boot sequence to boot from your CDrom drive first. Then insert the Win2000 CD and reboot. On boot you'll get a screen that says "if you want to boot from a CD press any key". Press any key and it will start the loading the install files and you're on the way.

Use a standard DOS boot disk with cdrom support and run i386\winnt
