Can I install Win Xp if I don't have a CD-ROM ?

I have a Toshiba laptop that doesn't have a CD-ROM, it connects thru everything by using a Docking Station. I know that I could get an external CD-ROM, but in the mean time I want to install Win Xp, but I'm not sure if I can do that.

Any suggestions?

If you can take the hard drive over to somewhere that DOS have a CD Drive, you can just copy the contents of the i386 folder from the CD to the computer. Or put it on a USb drive or something. Just need a way to get the files onto the computer and you can install it from there.

If you set up some partitions on the laptop hard drive you can network the laptop and copy the ISO image from the CD to a small partition and reboot the laptop from that partition it should run just like the cd if you got a good ISO image. Just make sure you don't accidentally erase the partition the ISO is in when going through the partition wizard at the installation
