Without ever doing it, i'd say there is a 90% chance it would mess it up, but you could probably try and let everyone know.

If its a AMD7xx northbridge/Via 686x southbridge, you really only need to install the ide drivers.

I just clicked on your system rig, since knowing the motherboard model helps,if you are refering to your Chaintech 7ATA then the answer is yes it`s a Via chipset(KX133),if on the other hand you are refering to AMD chipset then the answer depends on the board since some have AMD chipset for northbridge & Via for southbridge what they call a hybrid they use AMD mini port AGP driver(northbridge),& Via for the ide drivers(southbridge).

You have the FIC AD11

<< "AMD 760 Northbridge and the VIA VT82C686B Southbridge and paired them together to create the new FIC AD11 >>

, so you use the AMD mini port AGP driver & you can use some of the Via drivers ,DON`T install the Via AGP driver which is in the 4 in 1 drivers.

The 4 in 1's will detect what drivers need to be installed. You need to install everything but the AGP drivers, which would leave 3 drivers.

With the latest Via 4in1 4.31V driver package when you install it it will come up with a list of 3 check boxes (IDE, AGP and INF). Just make sure you uncheck the AGP because you don't have a Via AGP controller.

Then you want to get AMD's AGP driver ver 4.80 for Win9x/ME or ver 5.22 for Win2k.

My mobo is the same chipset as yours and that's what I do.

OK guys, what is up with NOT installing the VIA AGP drivers (in the 4in1s)? I have a mobo (not sure of the exact model) with a KT133 chipset and I'm planning on installing ALL of the 4in1 drivers. Am I wrong in doing so?

Jack: Read his later post. He doesn't have the KT333 anymore. If you have a KT133 board you want the whole 4in1 package.

You can install all the Via 4 in 1 drivers if it`s a Via only chipset like Via KT133 etc, some boards use both AMD & VIA,they use AMD for the northbridge which means you use the AMD agp driver not Via`s agp driver.
