Can I hook up my PS2 or Xbox to my computer monitor.

I would like to hook up one of my game systems (Xbox,Gamecub,PS2) to my computer since new Sony 21" will give me much better picture than my old round tube Hitachi TV. There is extreme ammounts of roundness on the left hand side of the screen so I want to use my new badass monitor. Now there is a extra HD15 input in the back to allow two computers to hook up to the Sony G520. What options do I have on hooking up one or all of these systems to the computer monitor?

Correct me if i am wrong but doesn't the PS2 and Gamecube designed for 640x480 resolution and the Xbox designed to pump out at least 1024x768 but I think all the way to 1920x. Is this correct?

You can hook a PS2 or Xbox up to a computer monitor through a vga box, or using a video card with video in, or with a tv tuner card. You will also need to hook up the sound from the consoles to something so you will either have to use your sound card or a home receiver.

Yes, I think you are right with the PS2 going to 640x480 but I'm not sure about the Xbox(I believe it's good for 1024x768 but not sure about higher res).
Hope all this helps, good luck!

search for "jam playstation" on ebay and you can find a way to play your consoles on your monitor. its about $40 for everything including shipping. two of my friends roommates use it. i would get one once i really want to hook up my PS2 to my 19" monitor.

I use a Hauppauge WinTV card to connect my PS2 up to my PC, and the sound goes into my Live card. It works really well but there is a loss of quality. It looks far better in an actual TV.
