i want to use my klipsch's instead of my aiwa stereo's monstrous speakers so i can save desk space. but i just want to know if hooking em up would blow something because wattage is totally different. the klipsch's have about 200 more watts of power.. thanks

you shouldn't have a problem, but just make sure you have the amp turned way down on the speakers when you hook them up... b/c the the i'm sure your stereo is amplified and you could blow them quick if you have it up and up on both...
just out of curiosity does your stereo have the headphone like jack that hooks into the klipsh for 4.1 sound or are you just gonna jerryrig it?

Check the impedance of your speakers against the capabilities of your amp to see if they are compatible. Both pieces of information will be shown on the back of the components.

I've owned 2 sets of Klipsch Promedia speakers, but still not sure about whether you can hook them up to a stereo or not. However, your best bet would probably be to go to the Klipsch.com website. There is a forum there, and I'm sure someone will be able to answer that question there.
