Can I hook up my DVI monitor to display video for my PS2?

I have an LG 19" LCD Display. It has a VGA and DVI-D input. Right now I have my LCD hooked up via my ti 4600 video card via DVI plug. I want to be able to hook up my ps2 maybe via component input to my LCD. I know of the technology of VIVO. I was interested in the MSI 6600GT as my upgrade path for a new video card, but I don't have the money for that right now. I read it has VIVO, which in my understanding means I would plug a component video device via a special cable that comes with the package, and that the card can display that image on my computer and I can use my LG LCD to play ps2, xbox, etc. etc.

I want to know if someone knows of what product to get w/o having to spend a lot of money to just simply hook up my monitor to my ps2 via compenent video.

Thanks in advance for your responses...

There are devices available that can convert VGA/DVI signals to composite or s-video and backwards. Personally, I haven't got any experience with such devices, so I don't know which one you should take. Wait for the others' opinion. :)

This post is just to let you know that it's not impossible what you're trying to achieve. :p

Okay, never mind about the others. Guess I'll give a hand here. :p I'm still not familiar with this kinda stuff, though, mind you.

Anyway, you should find something like this (or, possibly, use this): http://www2.dvigear.com/vitodvisc.html

You should make sure that the DVI connector is compatible with your LCD, as there are DVI-D, DVI-A, and DVI-I. More info here: http://www.datapro.net/techinfo/dvi_info_cond.html

Hopefully I was of any help here. :)
