Can I hook up a wireless router to an existing wired router?

ie) Hooking up a Linksys WRT54GL to a D-Link DGL-4100?

The Linksys WRT54GL would be branching off one of the D-Link DGL-4100's lines and not using the main line that goes into the D-Link DGL-4100. Would this work?
