Can I hook my 5.1 computer speakers to my DVD player?

if the rca jacks are analog outputs then you should be able to buy the correct size adaptor from radio shack
 
I was thinking about that but my speaker set up plugs into my soundcard with like 5 or 6 plugs and my DVD player only has 2 RCA outputs?
 
What kind of speakers? You can probably still do it, you'll either lose the rears (or something like that) or need to find an rca splitter to get the rears to produce sound
 
Logitech z-640 6 piece. ahhh you know I just checked the box I never noticed they came with an adaptor 🙂 to hook them to your DVD player. thanks for the help!
