me: dude, we have half a dozen shared printers all over. Look at me, I have a 50lb laser all to myself... why don't you just use a network share printer?
him: uhhh... <30 second pause while he looks at me blanky> oh look. Here's a USB cable on your desk <shufles under a pile of my crap> mind if I take it?
me: sure

great... new system administrator doesent know how to print to a shared printer :roll:
