It's a sony dsc-v1 that came with those Infolithium rechargable batteries. They have a measly capacity at 3.6v with 650-700 mah. A brand new fully charged battery will probably give me alittle over an hour of shooting with a mix of flash and no flash. That's with a brand new battery but at the current state of the battery life I'm probably getting about 30 mins max now.

I checked online and there are some batteries that are compatible with my camera but has a higher capacity rating, 1000mah, 1100 and 1200. I'm thinking of picking up 2 of the 1200. There shouldn't be a problem correct? Also these are rated at 3.7v and the Sony brand is 3.6v. Can that .1v cause any problems?

The camera has always had dismal battery life and all the new cameras right now can outlast it 3 or 4 times over but it still has many features not found in a point and shoot. That's why I'm still holding on to it.
