I'm gloating because of my girlfriend. She got me on on day one without even trying. :Q

She heard that PlayStation 2 was &quot;going to be really neat&quot; so she went online and did a search. This wasn't a preorder in July either. She ordered it ONE WEEK before the release and didn't pay a premium either. She went to a site that mention they were going to have it. I couldn't believe it. She must've hit that 30 minute time window between when they went on sale and all preodered got filled.

Her response to it all, &quot;There's a shortage? I didn't know they were hard to get.&quot;

I bought mine last week after hearing that they were extremely hard to get. Previously I'd had no intention of getting it. Called a couple of stores, and it wasn't long before zellers told me they had 3 left after an order of 4 that day. 25 min later I was racing home

Told a friend, he bought one two days later. Then a day after that I had to pick one up for a relative who absolutely could not find one - I'm telling you zellers is the place to be.

I got mine by pre-ordering back in March when I read about the chaos at the Japanese launch. Boring but effective.


IBhacknU - I think some people read your post as bragging about getting one, I read it as you being happy to have helped a friend. I say excellent job, man! You may have made their Christmas!

I would rather wait and buy mine for the regularly scheduled price rather than buy a bundle. I don't care if I have to wait till after christmas or not. Hell I have already bought another controller, memory card, and Madden 2001. So I am ready when I do get it.
