I recently flashed my Latitude CSx bios frpm A08 to the recent A13. Bios screens look
a fair bit different. Had 3 bios screens with A08 and now have 6 with A13. I
always wondered about speedstep on the CSx, almost all said it was not
supported. However in the new A13 bios I notice under "Power Management" a
setting for "Smart CPU Mode" and it says "When this is set to DISABLED the
cpu will run at maximim speed and may effect thermal control and battery
performance" It also states "When enabled the computer saves power, lowers
its temperature and changes the clock speed according to the needs of the
application......"

Does this not sound as a capability for SpeedStep?
