Can I get Windows 2000 to execute a program at a specific time?

I'm a DJ at a college radio station and record my show every week by having a digital timer start my dubbing cassette deck at a specific time. The deck is set up to start recording the moment it's turned on.

I'm investigating the feasibility of recording my show as an MP3 file. This would require having my receiver as an audio source on my Hercules Game Theater XP sound card, and having a program set up to start recording an MP3 at a certain time, and hopefully stop recording at another specified time.

Can I get suggestions on how I might set this up? Thanks!

You can start the recorder using the Task Scheduler.

Open the Control Panel, open Scheduled Tasks, then launch Add Scheduled Task...the Wizard will walk you through setting up a new task.

Then, all you will need is a macro, or equivalent, in your recorder software that causes it to start recording (from the proper input, and for the proper length of time) as soon as it is started. This I don't know about...
