Why would they be pissed? Wouldn't they want people to know and buy more new bottles, rather than reusing them?

people may also think well im not drinking it at all then, but i never really thought of it like that, seems like it would increase their sales more then anything.
i used to reuse the bottles but since i read about that and the expiration date kinda confirmed it for me i stopped reusing.

you can get sued for anything, by anyone.

So are you asking if someone would WIN a lawsuit against you based on this?

yeah just if i could get in any trouble at all or risk having my site shut down.

No, I doubt you'd get into much trouble... however, making false accusations against an industry that ultimately results in a loss of income to them could lead to a law suit. I doubt the second part of that is true (loss of income), but having a fairly strong background in chemistry, I find the claim to be quite bogus.

Are you claiming that if I have a bottle of water and store it for 6 months, that less of a carcinogenic substance is going to leak into the water than if I drink it all after 3 months, refill it, and store it another 3 months? That's preposterous.

Might want to take the labels off the water bottles in the picture just in case.

No point in getting a libel suit aginst you.

Hard to get controversy stirred up over the undocumented report of a "health minister" of an unnamed country.

Bottles (in the UK at least) say not to reuse after they are meptied, but this is, IIRC, due to the fact that the bottle is a haven for bacteria and stuff, and it's the health issue form that which leads to the advisory, AFAIK, nothing to do with any crpa about toxins and whatnot.

thanks for the help and the the facts, my main concern was that i not get sued over it but the fact its untrue or the source of the info isnt very reliable i think i better remove it.

myself i try to mainly stick to hardware modding but im not the only person who posts on the page.

As long as the article is strictly stating facts and not trying to say the companies are doing things wrong or misleading people or things like that, then I don't think you have anything to worry about.
