Can I get opinions on this truck pls?

Did GMC make Sierras in 1993? I could not find it on kbb so looked up a regular 2500. I wish it had a crew cab. If the miles are real, is $4k a good price for this truck? The seller is asking $5k. He sent me some pics and it does look pretty clean. The manual transmission should be more durable than an automatic, right? I don't think it has a bedliner or tow hitch. I think it still has the original clutch. Any truck gurus here that can chime in an opinion on these trucks? I was looking at something in the 1996 to 1998 range. There is a nice 98 with a crew cab and only 85K miles for $5400, but it is in Ohio.

Below is the text from the craig's list ad.

GMC SIERRA 2500 4x4 92k 5,000.00 obo

Truck is in great shape, 92,000 original miles.Extended cab/bed, 4 speed manual transmission and a low gear, 350 v8 tbi, 4X4, runs great extremely smooth and quiet. New exhaust, brakes are fairly recent, p/w, p/l, am/fm/cassette. All new fluids in transfer case, rear end, coolant, engine. Truck was never used commercially and is mostly highway mileage. Truck has dent behind drivers door , besides that the rest of the body is very clean with no rust or dents. Also have a brand new set of rims off a 1999 GMC in individual boxes and some other extra tires/rims. Extremely well maintained and driven easy

I think a 4 speed manual is odd for that year. But GMC used to use Sierra as the trim designator rather than the name, I don't know when they changed over.

Edit:
Doing some looking, 4 speed auto and 5 speed manuals were available. I'm not sure what they used in the 2500's, but I think they used NV3500/NV3550 transmissions in the half tons that year.

and thanks for that link funboy42. I am going to look it up on carsurveys.org too.

I'd like to get him down to $3500, but that might be too cheap, eh?

not too sure what that means, but I will take your word for it.

Anyone else wanna give me some advice on this truck ???

Do you have any particular need for a truck like this?

It sounds as though it has been well maintained and lightly used so it'll probably be relatively reliable.

yes I have uses for a truck like this with an extended open bed. I would put a trailer hitch on it and a bed liner. I need to pull and haul stuff, but probably not in the same trip.

There is even a cheaper and newer green one on cl but it is lowered, an automatic and 150kmiles.

I just paid 4500 for a 93 Dodge Ram 250 w/ the cummins in it. It was a bit higher milage, but came with the K&N intake, 6" lift, 35" mudders, and blue lights underneath (lol)

I need to pull a trailer, so I'm debating about kicking the stilts out from under so that tires are more affordable (I'll need tires in a few months)

Wonder what kind of dent it has? $100 or $3000. I have a 93 Chevy 1/2 ton and never had any problems. Good strong motor.

the dent is not bad at all, he sent me a pic of it. I could even live with it.
