Can I get maximum resolution on my 24" monitor?

Hello.

I plan on getting a 24" LCD monitor. The maximum resolution on the monitor is 1920x1200.

I have the BFG 8800GTS 640 OC2 graphics card. On the BFG site in the FAQ section it says that the maximum resolution for the DVI output is 1600x1200.

Does this mean that I won't be able to use my monitor at 1920x1200 if I use a DVI connection?

When I go to stores like Best Buy and look at their 24" monitors their resolution is always set at 1920x1200 and I'm sure my graphics card is better than the ones they're using.

Someone care to explain what I'm missing here? Thanks.

a 8400GS can do a 1920x1200 I am sure you can do 1920x1200 with your card.

BFG typoed i guess then?

The maximum resolution your card can do is 2560x1600 (with a dual link DVI cable & monitor).

It will do 1920x1200 just fine.

Heck, the majority of onboard video cards handle 1920x1200 adequately.
