basicly, other family members accuse me of hogging bandwidth so they unplug my computer from the router (it is on 1st floor, my comp is on the 3rd), and they are too cheap to chip in to get more bandwidth, so i wondered if there is a cheap box type thing that i can basicly put around the router and lock, allowing only power cables/network cables to get out? if there is, what are they called and how much do you reckon they cost?

I suppose the easiest thing to be more secure you could get a large metal pistol gun safe and and large enough metal drill bit to drill the holes for your cables. But they could still unplug it from the AC power on the wall.

most electrical suppliers have a fiberglass type enclosure that has a lock attachment and are fairly cheap, plus with fiberglass you would not have to worry about the cables being rubbed through!:)

Unplug them and see how they like it ;)

Wouldn't be very hard to build a box like that.
