Can I get in trouble? (cops just showed up)

Hi,

My roomates had some girls over. It grew for a little (uninvited people showed up) bit and suddendly there were like 20-30 people. They just stayed upstairs drinking... I was downstairs working on homework/Linux. There was underage drinking going on, but we didn't supply ANY of the alcohol. People just brought it.

And I haven't drank anything. I am just in my room downstairs.

Can I get busted for anything just because I am part of the same house?

I believe so, but most likely you'll just get a ticket or warning or something, unless this has happened b4.

just make sure nobody leaves there driving really drunk...it they do something to harm themselves or somebody/something else then your fvcked

If you have a good pair of headphones, just let them try them on, crank the music and tell them you were listening to music the whole time...I can't hear a damn thing with mine on, so how should you know what was going on? :)

I think/hope you'll be fine, just be nice and safe with the cops.

lol... conflicting views.

I bet it was our jerk neighbor that called. We got a new neighbor this quarter, right after winter break. I went over the first day, introduced myself, and said "hey, if there is any problems ever please feel free to come over and talk about it."

So, the next Saturday evening (not even night yet), we are going to go to a party. We were probably talking decently loud, but not screaming or anything. Our DD accidentally set off his car alarm, and quickly turned it off. Our neighbor comes storming out the door and says "What the fvck are you guys doing?!?! Why the fvck are you setting off car alarms and being loud?"

Ok, buddy. It isn't like we PURPOSEFULLY set off the car alarm

And the fowl language was a bit out of line... much better would have been "hey, can you keep it down a bit?" He is going to have real problems, because we are about 2 blocks from campus and the ENTIRE neighborhood is college students. There is a house across the street that parties every weekend.

And my roomates weren't even being that loud tonight. I was able to study fine, and I live right below and if they were loud it would have been too loud for me to study.

Actually, it is in part because I thought our neighbor might call the cops, and in part because I am going to be gone all Saturday and Monday to various places, and have a TON of homework due by Tuesday.

edit: And besides, I am a geek. I couldn't get a girl to be interested in me if I tried (and I have). Best to spend my time doing something else.

Oh, I'm not depressed:) I'm resigned, which actually means I can find happiness in other things instead of moping about all the time like so many others on this board.

No, only about half of it;)

Anyway, the cops just wrote a few MIP's and a parking ticket. Didn't even come downstairs. Actually, the only people who got MIP's were the people who tried to sneak away.
