Can I get ClearType if I don't use WinXP? (I'm on Win2K)

I just got this LCD, and it's nice, but I would like to use ClearType if I could.

You can't. I was looking into this a couple of days ago. Somewhere on the Microsoft site, they say that Cleartype is only supported in WinXP and they won't be putting support in any other versions. I'm too lazy to find the link...

cleartype looks like ass so don't worry about it.

Windows 2000 does not support ClearType.

Yea I just got a SyncMaster 172B and definitely noticed the difference. I finally threw on the XP upgrade...it only took 30 min. It does look nicer on some sites, and not on others. I wonder if I cna hotkey that sh!t.
