Can I get clarification on price checks please.

I know this was recently dealt with, in fact I saw a reply from IDC a couple of days ago saying price checks per say weren't agaist forum rules as long as they weren't posted with the intention of selling an item on this forum.

With that in mind I wondered why this thread has been closed http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2260091

If it was closed for some other reason (i.e OPs question was felt to have been answered) then that would explain it but it seems we have some confusion from other members (including myself until I read IDCs post) on what is and isn't allowed.

Perhaps we could have some clarification on this point in the stickies.
 
I think it was the OP saying, "Just lock the thread mods." When an OP says that, that's a pretty sure way to get a thread locked 🙂
