Going off to college in a few days... but since I haven't even been assigned my mail box info, I can't even give notice of my mailing address change to my bank, magazine subscriptions.. and so on..
so will I be able to go to any post office where I'll be staying and tell them to forward my mail once I get that info?

"A request for a change of address cannot be accepted if you receive mail through, or in care of, an institution such as a business, hotel, motel, rooming house, nursing home, hospital, school or similar institution, through privately managed mail boxes, or if you share your postal address, (where several businesses share a common postal address.) " DO'H, guess I will have to go back home an pick up my mail e every months. Crap I guess I will have to wait to read my next cpu magizene.

Call Canada Post and ask about their redirection service. The site says they do it for schools but charge for it. I may be wrong but I think the quote Instan00dles posted means that if you currently receive mail through a school or other institution (for example, as an employee), they can't forward from there to another address. Call them and check it out.
