Hello people
I have an Abit QuadGT IX38.
The reason I bought this mobo a year ago, was because in the specs it said that it supports VT-D.
Little did I know that on that chipset it is not enabled.
I updated the drivers to the latest official drivers but still no dice.
My CPU is a Core2 Quad Q9400 which supports VT-D.
Vmware workstation 6.5 says:
You have configured this virtual machine to use a 64-bit guest operating system. However, this host is not capable of running 64-bit virtual machines or this virtual machine has 64-bit support disabled.
I cannot find the VT-D option anywhere in my bios.
Is there any way I can enable it?
Spending 100+ dollars for another mobo will be kinda pain in my wallet.
I do really need this type of technology.
If there is no way around, do you know of a mobo that you know for a fact has VT-D working?
I went and checked the XEN web site to see supported chipsets but at this point I am not sure that if a mobo that has VT-D will be enabled or even working properly.
BTW I am running Linux Centos 5.3 64 bit.
Thank you.
