can I fly with a kitchen knife?

not in carry on bag but in checked bag?
would I get into a trouble having kitchen knife in my checked bag?

Somehow, a user by the name of "psycho", asking about flying with a knife, scares me.

check it
you can check firearms and stuff as long as you pack it per the regulations and tell them

Aww... Your lucky kitchen knife, eh?
They now have a special knife storage unit mounted under the wings. Cool, huh?
But if it's that knife advertised on TV that cuts through boots, forget it!

probablly. i remember this one flight where my sister took finger nail sccisors to cut thread to weave on the plain, and they confiscated it from her. a 12 year old child in a 5 member jewish family is really going to stab someone right?

Well, some people tend to bring high quality knives as presents when they are not available at the destination
Again, there is no issue in carrying a whole knive-block in your checked baggage. Been there, done that...
To be on the safe side, double-check with your airline 🙂

Yes you can, and in fact I just did this for Christmas. In fact I flew with a ~6" Shun knife and a 3" pocket knife both in my checked luggage.
