Can I Flash my NEW MB Bios BEFORE I Install my O/S ??

thatsright

Hi, I just got a ABIT IC7 and P4c, Windows XP Pro etc, etc, etc,......

Anyway, I would like to first flash the MB's bios to the new Rev. 1.3 before I do any Operating System Install. But is this even possible? I think someone told me before that I would have to make a bootable floppy disk, but how would I do this? Could I make a WIN98 Rescue disk on this PC, and just use that to boot up to on the A: drive, and then use the ABIT Flash Utility? Or do I need a different type of boot disk?

Thanks

I'm not sure about Abit in particular, but you should be able to flash it fine with any kinda boot disk. Just extract everything from the zip file the has the .bin file. Just make sure you follow the instructions on the website.
