Can I flash my BIOS with an older version?

I've flashed my BIOS twice in the past few weeks with two Dell released BIOS versions (A02 & A03). I'm having problems and would like to go back to BIOS version A01 which was the version that cam pre-installed on my PC. Is there any problem with me using a older version to flash my BIOS?

If you want more details about my problems, go here: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=34&threadid=663794

If anyone can help me out with this problem it would me much appreciated.

Thanks,

Yes, you can flash back to an older bios. Just try not to make a habit of flashing when there is no need to because it is somewhat risky since if it stops midflash you need to buy a new bios chip to get running again. I'm not saying you flashed for no reason, just giving you some advice.

I'm going to go back to A01 and see if that fixes my problems. I'll eventually have to pick up the latest BIOS if I ever want to upgrade to a Northwood. Thanks for the info! 😀
