Can I find peanut butter in Amsterdam?

Hi there,
I have this quick question, which may sound strange to some of you... but I really want to know if I can find peanut butter in Amsterdam, and how much it would cost...

I'm going to Europe for the holidays and a friend in Romania has asked me for peanut butter... and I'd rather not haul it over the Atlantic with me. Since I'm staying in Amsterdam a couple of days, I thought I might find the product there.

Any Dutch people here who might help with this info?

This is code for "insert drug here." Man, just ASK for what you want via PM. I'm sure you know who lives there, right? 😉

Mmm, the friend in Romania asked you for "X" and you don't want to haul it over the Atlantic...but you would "haul it" on a 1 hour flight, huh?

Careful...the doggies have sensitive noses these days.

When I was in Europe, I had to buy it in the "specialty foods" section which contained imported foods from the states. It was quite expensive. This was in France, btw.

I am pretty sure you can, as when I backpacked through Europe the peanut butter and jelly sandwich was my train food. If Vietnam had peanut butter and jelly I'm sure Amsterdam will, and while your at the Albert Heijn pick up some of those fresh bottled juices. Best juice in the world, the shelves will be stocked with them in the morning and by afternoon they're all gone.

If you bring peanut butter, they might think you're smuggling drugs. People smuggle marijuana by hiding it in a jar of peanut butter. The PB smell covers up the marijuana smell so dogs don't detect it.
