It's technically far easier to get those bugs by intentionally (or like a retard) putting yourself in the most bacterium-rich environment possible... but you are ordinarily far more likely to pick it up by eating improperly handled/prepared food stuffs, or being unlikely and leaving something out too long and allowing something to enter it from the environment.
It's not common to get spore-laden foods, and even then, proper cooking kills the spores. But left-overs aren't always cooked properly, and sometimes leaving something out too long allows bugs to, well, float onto the food. If it's a spore, well... you better be perfect about bringing it to proper temperature otherwise the spore will live and have a field day in your mid gut.

C. jejuni was always a favorite simply because it's a little more obscure, yet actually one of the most common for true food poisoning.
