Hi!

Before I bought an lg gwa-4161B DVD recorder I used EZ cd creator. I used to format cd-rw with direct cd and used them to drag and drop files in windows explorer...

Can I do the same with dvd+rw (or -rw)? I mean, do these discs need formatting (like cd-rw) and can they be used with drag and drop?

If not, what is the easiest way to record and erase files in a dvd+rw disc? (or dvd-rw)

Thanks,

Inikay.

XP does not have built-in support for drag-n-drop DVD recording. It can only do CDs this way.

If you got a copy of Nero with that drive, you shouldn't have any problems formatting and burning +RW or -RW as long as the DVD burner supports those formats.

The InCD part of nero will do this - it is exactly like direct CD with full DVD-RW/+RW support. Just insert the disc, format and drag-and-drop or save direct to DVD.

InCD Download

Note that InCD will not install unless you have a registered version of nero. (Trial download is not acceptable).

I downloaded InCD but can't seem able to go past the first instalation screen... I enter user name and company and I'm not sure which serial they ask for. I tried my Nero serial and nothing. Also tried with the windows serial and nothing once more... The 'Next' button doesn't work...

Does this mean my Nero is not registered?

Look on your Nero CD to see if InCD is there. If you have a bundled / OEM copy of Nero you don't have a license for the full / retail version.
