If they are DRM-protected, you will need to free them from that DRM first (which the DMCA will frown on). Regardless of whether they are DRM-protected, they will need to be converted from the AAC format that Apple uses to something the Zune can play, like MP3 (I believe the Zune software can do this automatically). That will mean sacrificing some audio quality.

i believe the answer is no... unless you want to do some complicated steps to turn that answer to yes.

you can pretty much burn anything to a cd from itunes , you just convert that to mp3.
there are softwares out there that let's you 'burn' a virtual cd.

this is like a couple month's ago when i had to do something similar.

At least the itunes store is DRM free now. Of course, Amazon is still the best with lame encoded 256 KB/s mp3s.

Music from the Zune store (some of it, anyway) is 320kbps mp3 - unsure of the codec, though.

iTunes has the biggest selection of music + you can almost always buy gift cards from people selling them for a huge discount. I got 2 $50 cards for $65 from a local kid. The music might be slightly lower quality, but I <3 iTunes Store for the deals I find on gift cards. After Xmas I suspect I'll be about to rack up a few hundred dollars in GC's for about half what they're worth.

Putting songs that have been blessed by Apple on a Zune is tantamount to rape. There is nothing more to say. If you decide to defile your songs, then Apple can't be held responsible for the consequences. Everyone knows this.
