Can I do this?

I just reinstalled windows on my new system but I found a killer deal on a new hard drive that I would much rather have windows on. My question is, can I use Acronis Trueimage to completely image my current hard drive, partitions and all, and dump in onto a new physical drive that I can then use as primary master? Thanks.

I don't think you can copy the partitions, but you can probably make images of each partition (like making images of several hard drives). When you get the new drive, just repartition manually and use Trueimage to copy each partition individually.

One more question, once I have cloned my old drive onto a new drive will I be able to switch the new drive to being the primary master and keep on computing or do the drive letters get re-assigned, nullifying all my programs? Thanks.
