I can't speak for software RAID, since I never used it, but no hardware-based RAID I've ever used--whether SCSI, ATA, or SATA--will let you do that. Those RAID arrays are created at physical drive level, not at logical partition level.
OK, here's a link to MS KB article that discusses software-based RAID. Note, however, it talks about RAID-1 (mirrored), not RAID-0 (striped), and further states that this is not available for XP Pro. Since you're talking about Photoshop swap files, I assume you're looking for RAID-0 performance boost, not data redundancy with RAID-1.
I read it, and it does look like I'm out of luck with my current hardware and XP-Pro. Thanks for replying and helping me finally put this question to bed. I've been searching for the last couple days.
