ok so i need a loan now:(
3000 bones. Im only 17. My parents would give me the finger if i asked for them to cosign. I have a checking account that i opened at bank of america, they were like you have to be 18, then like the bank manager pulled me aside and was like well ill open it for ya but shhh shhh dont tell anyone your not 18. She filled out the paperwork for me and i was set to go. Had my checking card and check book. Now if i went in there and talked to someone, would they assume that i am 18? since i have a checking account. Its not under my parents name at all. Anyone know if this is possible to get a loan without a cosign?

They're gonna worry more about your credit (which is probably none)

than your age.

I doubt if you can get a loan

You'll have a hell of a time getting any form of credit before you're 18.

Best you can do is try to have a good steady job and go in with that. But, it's nearly impossible to get a loan without someone over 18 and with decent credit to cosign for it.

They'll probably still ask you for a cosigner since you probably don't have any credit, that's what they did to me - so I just had my mother take out the loan for my car. Even if you do get approved for the loan, interest rates are going to kill you.

even better..if you get a loan you dont have to pay it back because you signed the contract when you were under 18..

He doesn't unless he knowingly defrauded them. Which in this case he would know that and would be liable.

My first loan I actually cosigned for my parents, so I got the good interest rate and the credit after I paid it off. :)

Now, do you really "need" this car or do you just "want" it?

You aren't going to get a $3000.00 loan just because you have a checking account at the bank. You need to have some kind of credit history which would be a credit card, a mobile phone, utility bills all under your name stating that youve been paying on time and in good standards. Otherwise YOU'RE SOL without a co-signer.
