I currently have an ATI radeon 9600pro running 2 compaq MV940s, I have a peice which I believe to be able to bring outside video signal into my computer and send signals out. (After looking at it, it has 2 yellow ends (S-video and RCA in) and 2 black ends (the same going out) which come to 1 black end that plugs into the spot between the VGA and DVI ports on my vid card.)

Now my questions are:

Can I use that to have a TV as a third monitor?

Do I need any software or drivers for a third monitor?

Can I plug, say, plug my Xbox into it at the same time?

Do I need any software to view the XBox on one of my monitors?

thx for your help

I was aware that the Matrox line (Parhelia, for example) could do three monitors at a time. I'm not so positive about a 9600. It would seem like you could add a TV in for a third screen, but I'm not sure if the drivers allow it. Perhaps someone more knowledgable will step up to bat, or, give it a try and see if it will work.

the R3350/360 series can only support two monitors at a time. you can easily switch your second monitor from a crt to a tv very simply and quickly.
