What virus have you got in it?
How do you know you have a virus in it, ie, what antivirus have you got?
What OS?
What firewall?
How did you get the virus?

Yes you can delete your java cache with no problems. Next time you visit the site that put the cache in there, you will just re-cache the applet.

It's located in C:\Documents and Settings\LED\.jpi_cache\jar\1.0...but I'm scared to delete it and AVG doesn't recognise the Virus whereas Trend does when it Scans...got the Virus downloading something illegal ;)

Thanks KB

Also, after deleting the file, look in msconfig/startup , and see if there is something suspicious in there. If there is, untick the box, and do a search in regedit for that item - and delete.

Damn everything in the folder deleted except that one. It says it's in use or can not be deleted cause it's protected and when I look @ what's running I can't find it :(

Boot into safe mode, and see if you can delete it then.

Also, might be worth booting into a command prompt and deleting the folder if that doesn;t work

You should definitely follow montag's directions about booting in safe mode to delete it. That usually works for all files since it won't be loaded into memory when you go in safe mode. Also, be sure to run a virus scan again after rebooting out of safe mode. It is possible that the virus/trojan/whatever hooked itself into another place and can replicate. Some of them can be a giant pain to remove because of that. I had a problem with some spyware recently that took me quite some effort to extract.

Thanks Peeps...I got it by deleting the whole Folder in SafeMode...it wouldn't let me do it any other way so I just created a new one :)
