Can I delete hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys?

My brother's laptop got hosed, so I'm backing up his laptop's hard drive (via a 2.5" HDD to USB adapter) before he sends it in for repair because he's afraid they're going to wipe his info. I simply want to mirror his HDD with some software I have. I noticed that his computer's hiberfil.sys and pagefile.sys are over 2 GB is size. I would rather not back this stuff up if it isn't necessary.

His computer will just recreate these files the next time it boots right?

Yeah, you can skip those.

Most imaging software is smart enough to skip those for you so you shouldn't have to worry about it.
