Can I cram an Audigy EX into an InWin Q500 case?

I can't decide between the SB Audigy Platinum or Ex soundcard.

I guess its just a software issue...if you get the Ex for the extra piece or 2 of software, does anyone know if you can cram the breakout box into the front panel of your case and use it just like the front panel mounted Platinum while still having the option of using it as an external breakout box? Are there any heat/size issues that would cause a problem?
