I know how to burn an iTunes song to a CD.
This converts it to a wav file or something that a CD player can read.
I was wondering if it were possible to convert to that format, but merely toa drive, rather than a CD-R.

you mean wav files? those are just decompressed audio files. err... ur joking?i can't tell:(
just tell it to burn a cd. i don't see the point of decompressing aac files to wav on the hd. u can always rip the burned cds to the hd if u wnat that...dunno why. its all limited to the quality of the mp3/aac files they came from

Yes, you can, but it's illegal.

Itunes' files are DRM'ed.

Illegal to convert them?
or illegal to convert them and distribute them?
