Can I convert a Geforce3 Ti200 to a Quadro DCC with software?

i have 3 main questions:

1. Can I convert a Geforce3 Ti200 using Softquadro 1.0 to a Quadro DCC? I didn't see any DCC options in Softquadro.

2. If I have that computer as a node in a network used for rendering a 3D Studio Max scene, will the Quadro DCC be taken advantage of as well as the processor?

3. Will the Quadro DCC GF3 still be able to play games at the same speed as the Geforce3 Ti200 drivers? (do quadro drivers support the same features as GF3 + Quadro stuff?)

Any Quadro2 Pro or Quadro DCC can use any nVidia compatible driver. The softquadro program will work with the Geforce2 chipset, but it is not as fast as a true Quadro2 Pro, I don't know about the DCC version. Go here http://www.geocities.com/tnaw_xtennis/G-Quadro-2.htm and here http://guestbook.cgi.net/ECE9/
This mod is really easy, but those resistors are small. You can than flash the bios to the Nvidia reference Quadro DCC bios. Now you card will be recognized in the boot up screen as a Quadro DCC, as well as windows. This will also allow you to load the Gloria III drivers which can give you some extra settings with those graphics programs you mentioned. Your video card will be an actual Quadro DCC, which will give you increased performance in the video apps only, gaming will be the same. If you want increased performance in professional video applications, they are optimized for the Quadro2 Pro, not the DCC. The Geforce 3 Ti 200 will play games faster, but be slightly slower for the video apps. You can try a Gainward Geforce2 Ti 500 like me and use the same procedure, it will give you excellent professional graphics performance with plenty of gaming power, but still not quite as fast as the Quadro DCC for gaming. My best scores with this card are:
3DMark 2000 11011
3DMark 2001 5502

Thanks for the great reply dude.

But I'd like to konw if this can/has been done on a Geforce3, and if so, is there a guide available.

Thanks again,

Yes, it can and has been done. The data base doesn't include much for the Geforce 3 yet.
